Cycling Tours of the Big Island

I have been cycling on the Big Island several times, but never ventured much off the Queen's Highway. I was looking for 3 days of cycling that would show me some new cycling routes on the Island, be fun and challenging. Bruno and Gabi exceeded all my expectations from the beginning to the end. They were friendly, responsive and informative in all of their communications. They seemed to know exactly what I was looking for from the first email exchange. They were fully prepared with 2 or 3 great options each day and helped me picked one that was a super match. We were together for up to 13 hours in a day and they were informative, supportive and really new how to lead a great ride. Most importantly they were a pleasure to be with whether it was chatting over a coffee and tea or encouraging me up a difficult climb. I would recommend them for any sort of tour, cycling or otherwise in Hawaii. I will certainly be looking them up the next time I am back on the Islands.

Bruno is an extremely personable individual, very insightful in providing a European view of life on the islands. We had arranged for him to take us on a custom tour. Along the way, Bruno explained all the geology, weather, history, etc. aspects of the journey. The trip was amazing, lots to see and all kinds of new and interesting facts to absorb. Bruno did a fantastic job of turning a simple tour into a meeting with a new friend. I cannot recommend Bruno highly enough and I look forward to going on another trip to experience some other major Big Island attraction with him guiding the way.
Bicycle Tour on the Big Island

My wife and I where looking for a customized and private cycling tour on the Big Island. We wanted to ride in our own pace and were seeking for quiet roads. Luckily we found compatriot Bruno Giovanoli from KUPAU Tours Inc. who did understand our needs and who has fully met our expectations.
The day was outstanding: driving over Saddle Road to Puna on a clear day, great bikes, a very personalble guide who was supporting us the whole way and providing us with a lot of information about the island, their culture and people. And not to forget the last surprise: our recreational swim in the warm spring.
We definitely will come back and will book an other tour from KUPAU Tours.

Kohala Downhill was exhilarating

Everything about our experience with Kapua Tours was smooth and professional. Bruno was an excellent guide and host for our bike ride down Kohala. The bikes were just right and it was an unforgettable ride. I would definitely book more tours with them in the future. They are a small company with a big company presence.
